When I'm Gone
by Mrs.Lyman Hancock

When I come to the end of my journey
And I travel my last weary mile
Just forget if you can, that I ever frowned
And remember only the smile

Forget unkind words I have spoken
Remember some good I have done
Forget that I ever had heartache
And remember I've had loads of fun

Forget that I've stumbled and blundered
And sometimes fell by the way
Remember I have fought some hard battles
And won, ere the close of the day

Then forget to grieve for my going
I would not have you sad for a day
But in summer just gather some flowers
And remember the place where I lay

And come in the shade of evening
When the sun paints the sky in the west
Stand for a few moments beside me
And remember only my best

I found this poem it really makes me think about Rich and I know he is looking down on us and telling me this.

Not sure why I was worried

Started back to school on Monday.
Monday was an inset day, so as we all went to different schools for training, this was a good start.
I woke up on Tuesday feeling sick with nerves, I haven't been with the kids since we broke up for the summer holidays, and I have only seen a handful of them since Rich's passing.
I am only doing mornings for the time being, one day at a timie and all that.

Survived Tuesday, one little boy stopped me to tell me how sorry he was about my son! Bless him.
Saw just a few parents who hugged me and had a cry.
I got home at lunchtime though and had a massive cry.

Yesterday was pretty much the same, no children commented though.
we also had to visit the funeral directors to pay off some more off Rich's funeral bill (MY GOD it's expensive!)
The lady who works in there gave us a poem, its written as though from your loved one. Very moving and one day I will type it up.
plus we had a letter off Rich's bank.I also recieved this stunning memory bracelet off Jen http://www.misi.co.uk/handmade/jen.html
So another weepy afternoon.
Today the tears were at school for the most part.
A year 5 lad, I was sitting with, asked why I had been away, someone else said cos her son died.
Then he asked me how and why!!!
To each answer, I got another question till in the end I had to leave the room and go in the stock room for a sob!

Now tomorrow is another day as they say.

Jeans gift to us

THank you Jean at LittleScruffs for your amazing gift.
Her note said to cheer us up, it certainly did that.
These last few weeks have been the worst of our lives, and its from people as kind as her that we have taken comfort.
Isn;t it beautiful

Written for Jean Little Scruffs

Poor Little Ollie

In their short lives together, they had been on some adventures,
he and James together, thought Ollie as he watched the rain bouncing off the window.
The pattern of the raindrops running down the pane was a little hypnotic and Ollie began reminiscing as he followed their trickling paths.

There was the time the pair became astronauts, in a shiny red rocket they flew into space, past millions of twinkling stars.
Or, and Ollie shuddered as he remembered, that giant roller-coaster James had insisted he should go on. Ollie thought he would never need to be as brave as he was on that day.

Ollie's favourite ,though most scary, adventure was the time the friends went to sea. Ollie was the captain of an old, wooden ship. Together they sailed the high seas. For days they looked out at the calm blue ocean, the only excitement was a school of dolphins who had stopped by for a chat. The only excitement that is until the night of the storm.
The little boat shook and shuddered, tossed and turned as the howling wind blew and rain smashed down against it.
Fearing for their lives the plucky duo managed to hang on all through the cold, wet night until daylight came and they found themselves washed ashore on a beautiful sandy island.
Ah yes, Ollie muttered, we have had some adventures.

After all, he had driven fast cars, flown in hot air balloons and even held the World Cup..

Of course there had been injuries along the way, thought Ollie. He rubbed the part of his nose, where James had performed surgery to help him breathe, and the back of his head was also evidence of James' medical skills.

I hope James decides soon, that he doesn't want to be a surgeon when he grows up, Ollie sighed, pulling at the bandage on his foot.

I'd quite like to work in a library.

Alice's story

1.2.3....Rea closed her eyes and began to count.
Bonnie Alice hesitated, but only for a second. She knew where to hide, after all there was only one place an elephant whose body was covered in tiny flowers could hide.
She turned and ran as fast as her four little legs could carry her. She knew she didn't have long, it was a well known fact that her friend often missed out numbers when counting.

Alice reached the clearing, in front of her stretched a field, a field of flowers with colours so bright they almost hurt her eyes. She made her way into the field and settling herself down, she lay on her side and watched the clouds. With the warm sun on her skin, Alice slowly felt her eyes shutting.

99.....100 Rea opened her eyes and looked around, smiling to herself as she spotted her brother,Takeya, trying to hide behind the thin tree, his little fat bottom poking out for all to see. She noticed a movement to her right and saw Indie's red trunk peeping round the hen house.

Before long all the friends had been found, all except Alice, who was fast asleep dreaming.

She dreamed of visits to the dentist, of Daddy teaching her to surf and hundreds and hundreds of babies!

Takeya got up from his place under the shady tree.
“Come on, lets help Rea find Alice, it won't be hard. we know where she'll be, “ he laughed.
And Alice slept on.

Morning had turned into afternoon, and with no sign of Alice, the villagers were all in the field looking for Alice.
Can you imagine it, a village of elephants searching for the flowery little elephant in a field of flowers!
And Alice slept on.

Alice.....Alice.... called a voice.
Alice opened her eyes and sat up, instantly she felt her mothers arms around her, explaining to Alice how worried they'd been.

Alice began to cry, she hadn't meant to worry everybody. Suddenly the strangest thing happened; the more she cried, the redder she got until even the inside of her ears were a lovely shade of red, not a flower to be seen.

“Well,” laughed Mom, “at least we'll be able to find you in the flowers.” but Alice was disappointed, she loved her flowers.

Luckily next morning Alice was back to her normal, sweet, flowery self.. normal that is except for the inside of her ears, which are to this day, a lovely shade of red.

Oh sod it!!

Managed to get all my assignments finished yesterday, started printing them and ran out of ink.
No worries I thought, I'll put them on my memory stick and print them off at work,
BAD IDEA

For whatever reason, the computer threw a hissy fit, it would only open two out of 6 assignments. My tutor (a new one) didn't really seem all that interested in what I had done already, not in the slightest bit bothered that I had only 2 assigments to show her, and said she would take my folder but not look at it until the summer holidays!

Anyway last night, I decided to start on the Pied Piper costume, it's really taking shape now, but guess what!!
I broke a needle and seem somehow to have bu**ered up the machine!! It will not pick up the bottom thread.
Have tried everything I know, but no luck! So P.Piper has a sleevelesss, unhemmed coat and no hat! and I'm getting a headache!!
